Fein-Severn Duo: Musicians Unfiltered Series

Hauser International Guitar Seminar

Guitarist Louis O’Neill gives the World Première of “Daydream Interrupted” at the 48th Hauser International Guitar Seminar in Reisbach, Germany.  O’Neill has commissioned three works for solo guitar from Fein, of which this is first to be performed.

The International Guitar Seminar Reisbach (Das Internationales Guitarrenseminar Reisbach) was founded by the legendary luthier Hermann Hauser II in 1967.  It is the second oldest guitar festival in Europe and attracts performers and students from around the world.

Une troupe ambulante de chanteurs lyriques se produit dans des lieux insolites (usines, châteaux, écuries) et apporte des classiques du répertoire, des œuvres de jeunesse des grands compositeurs, et des opéras contemporains, écrits pour cette formation, à un public qui, souvent, vit ainsi ses premières émotions d’opéra.

De l’Allier, où l’aventure a pris sa source, jusqu’à Carnac, Bléré, Paris, Shanghai, plus de 35.000 spectateurs ont assisté à ces spectacles pleins d’inventivité et de poésie.

Karlakórinn Esja and Karlakórinn Ernir in Ísafjörður

Keyboard in the 21st Century - Hong Kong

The Department of Music at Hong Kong Baptist University is pleased to announce The Keyboard in the 21st Century, an international conference for composers to be held 4-5 April 2019.  Featuring performances by outstanding Hong Kong pianists and guest performers, the conference will showcase the breadth of creative voices working with a range of new and historic keyboard instruments.  In addition to performances and roundtable discussions by participating composers, we are pleased to feature lectures and performances of music by George Tsontakis, Kennedy Wong Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Department of Music at HKBU and Distinguished Composer-in-Residence at Bard College Conservatory of Music, and Carlos Sanchez-Gutierrez, Featured Guest Composer and Professor of Composition at the Eastman School of Music.

Westminster Faculty Recital: Real and Mystical is Life

Soprano Victoria Browers performs an recital of American art song highlighting texts by Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman and Jane Kenyon. Included are works by Ernst Bacon, Libby Larsen, André Previn, Christian Carey, and world premieres of two new songs by Evan Fein.

Nicole León in Recital at Fondation Biermans-Lapôtre

Nicole León gives the European première of Fein’s Violin Sonata No. 1 (“Untranslatable”) at the Fondation Biermans-Lapôtre in Paris, France  (Belgium-Luxembourg House at Cité Universitaire).
