Join Evan Fein in collaboration with baritone Colin Levin in an evening of Nordic art song at The Victor Borge Theatre in New York’s Scandinavia House. Program to include a world premiere by acclaimed Icelandic composer Halldór Smárason, Jórunn Viðar, Frederik Österling, Jean Sibelius, and others.

Scholar and baritone Colin Levin continues to explore a diverse array of vocal literature, ranging from the very physical character roles of opera to the ambitious vocal writing of the concert repertoire. Recent seasons have witnessed him performing the lyric baritone roles of Mozart, Rossini, Puccini, and Britten while also participating in the creation of new American works. The 2022- 2023 season includes a return to Carnegie Hall as the Baritone soloist in the Faure Requiem with Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY), Pierre Birabeau/Red Shadow in Sigmund Romberg’s The Desert Song with Winter Opera St. Louis, the cover of the lead role Charles Darwin in the Premier of the Opera Southern Crossings by Zaid Jabri/Yvette Christiansen at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater in New York City, George Washington in the Premier of the Chamber Opera Chilltown Boogie by Alon Nechushtan with the Con Vivo Music Center, and Nordic Art Song recitals in Lenox MA, Puerto Rico, and Lund, Sweden with the Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study, the Centre for Scandinavian Studies Copenhagen-Lund-Hankuk, and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Faculty Recital serie
